Subrogation Practice Group
Subrogation, an equitable doctrine, allows, in both civil and worker’s compensation courts, for insurance carriers, self-insures, or third-party administrators, to seek equitable subrogation for payments made, either for property damages, or worker’s compensation payments, against a third party tortfeasor, or the tortfeasor’s insurance carrier.
At DuffyConnors, we have extensive experience and expertise in the investigation and prosecution of subrogation actions on behalf of our clients.
Respecting our experience and expertise, clients seek out our representation in connection with property losses involving fire, auto, property, and worker’s compensation. Asserting subrogation liens in worker’s compensation claims, our subrogation attorneys are well-familiar with the applicable subrogation practices and procedures under the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act, not only in terms of protecting subrogation liens, but also in terms in securing and recovering third-party settlement monies in satisfaction of compensable subrogation liens.
The property and workers’ compensation subrogation practice group attorneys include:
- Kevin L. Connors
- Patricia S. Duffy
Subrogation recovery matters, excluding claims involving the protection of worker’s compensation subrogation liens, are typically handled under a contingent fee arrangement with insurance carrier clients.
